The research presented has the objective of designing a system of indicators that measure the efficiency of production costs. Eleven variables were analyzed that made it possible to determine the most efficient months and products, as well as the potential improvements of each of the elements that compose them. The examinations carried out were assisted in economic- mathematical tools: Data Envelopment Analysis and the analysis of the main components. The first one, allowed to determine in values the percentages of efficiency of the months and products, while the second, determined the most representative variables within the system. Both statistical instruments were applied using computer programs, SPSS v22.0 and Frontier Analyst v4. The results obtained facilitate that in the decision-making processes, the administrators and specialists of the companies can select those variants or alternatives that favor the optimization of human and material resources in production processes.
